The news items i chose to use was the story of the rise in petrol and the fall in the worth of the pound coin, the reason i chose this is due to it being a red top newspaper which generally is written for and read by a working class audience, the rise in petrol prices is important for a person of working class as it implies higher car expenses which has a massive effect on those with lower yearly wage who have tight budgets. I also chose the story of a new discovery of ways to combat parkinsons disease i saw this fitting as parkins effects alot of people no matter what social status or sexual orientation
